Salt Systems and Fiberglass #
Salt chlorination is compatible with fiberglass pools when the system is installed, started, and maintained correctly. A salt system does not remove the need for water testing; it changes how sanitizer is generated.
Owners still need to monitor pH, alkalinity, hardness, stabilizer, salt level, water temperature, and cell condition.
Owner Responsibilities #
- Do not start the salt system in water that is too cold for the manufacturer requirements.
- Test existing salt before adding more because salt does not evaporate.
- Clean the cell as directed and inspect it during opening and closing.
- Keep pH and alkalinity balanced to protect equipment and pool surfaces.
When to Contact Okeanos #
Contact Okeanos before making major changes to water level, equipment configuration, winterization steps, site drainage, or installation scope. The right answer can depend on the exact model, equipment package, property conditions, and contract scope.
Keep photos, service notes, water test records, manuals, warranty documents, and quote paperwork together so the support team can review the situation quickly.
