Open the pool with the dewatering well in mind. Spring ground conditions can be wet, and lowering water without checking groundwater can create risk.
Equipment should be reassembled carefully: filter, pump, valves, o-rings, plugs, returns, salt cell, heater, lights, and optional features such as waterfalls or spa jets.
Opening Flow #
- Check equipment and reinstall filtration components.
- Remove winter plugs and reinstall returns, baskets, and fittings.
- Prime and start the pump while watching pressure and flow.
- Clean debris, shock, balance pH, and delay salt startup until water is warm enough.
